The Winand Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a community of parents and educators working together to supplement the educational experience for all of our children. Your membership dues and donations will fund many wonderful school programs including Trunk or Treat, Donuts with Grown Ups, Winand Wonderland, STEM Night, and so much more. We hope you will join the PTA and volunteer your time to help shape the Winand Elementary School experience for our children.
There are many ways to get involved with the Winand PTA. You can attend our monthly meetings, volunteer for school events, or join one of our committees. We welcome all parents and guardians to participate and contribute to the success of our school community.
The PTA benefits parents as well as students/staff/school. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. Joining the PTA also means you get a “VOICE and a VOTE” in helping shape the education of your child at Winand. While all PTA meetings are open to the public, only active members of the PTA may cast a vote. Every dollar we spend and every event we conceptualize is debated and voted on by the membership at our meetings.
Annual dues, which must be paid each school year, are $20 per individual or sign up for a Family Membership (2 adults in same household) for $25

No, but we’d love for you to come to general meetings! We discuss ideas, initiatives, and events and would love your input.
Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required. Likewise, if you choose not to become a dues-paying member of the PTA, we’d still be happy to have your volunteer support.
The Winand PTA organizes a variety of events throughout the school year, including family movie nights, book fairs, school carnivals, and educational workshops. These events aim to bring the school community together and provide enriching experiences for our students.
A key way to show support and involvement is by becoming a PTA member. Your membership helps support valuable enrichment programs and equipment that Winand Elementary otherwise could not afford. Through PTA membership you can participate in your child’s education by volunteering for a committee, attending meetings, voting on important PTA decisions, and providing ideas and feedback. Whatever level of involvement you choose, your time and efforts show your child that you care about their education.
